On his way to Liberia

Dear Prayer Partners,

Greetings from Brussels.  I am writing you wile I am waiting for my flight from Brussels to Monrovia.  My trip to Liberia was delayed a few days because of the unusual snow storm that plagued the east coast this past week.

I will be spending about 7 weeks in Liberia preparing for the arrival of our family later this year.  I will be able to work on the vehicle that we have already purchased and get it ready for use as well as begin to lay the groundwork for the house that we will need to build.  Please pray for safety and wisdom and I work.

The most exciting part of the trip are all of the opportunities to minister and teach that God has enabled.  Please be in prayer specifically on February 26th and 27th.  Stefan Elser (one of our team mates) and I will be going to the village of Voe in Grand Bassa County to minister and teach in the village.  I will have the opportunity to teach for about 6 hours each day.  This is a very remote village very deep into the bush.  It is about an 8 hour walk from the nearest road.  We will be taking the helicopter into the village and hopefully back out of it.  Please be in prayer for our safety while we travel.  It is your prayers and God's grace that will keep us during those two days.  This is a village where they do not know the gospel.  Please be in prayer, we are depending on your prayers for us.

I will also have the opportunity to teach through the entire Old Testament during a module in the town of Gbarnga.  I will have the opportunity to take the people there through the story of the Old Testament and show them the power of the gospel in the Old Testament.  Please be in prayer for this week.  This module is scheduled for early March.

Veronica and the kids will be staying with her parents in Delaware for several weeks while I am gone.  Please Veronica, Tabitha, Luke and baby Elizabeth (even though she is not born yet) in your prayers.  After their time with family in Delaware they will come back home and spend the remainder of my trip at our home close to our sending church family.

Thank you for your continued prayers for our family.  We depend on your prayers and are thankful for all of you.

Lord willing the next email update will be sent next week from Liberia.

In His service,

Stephen Poindexter
